You’re Going Green when you choose Carnanco Land Transfer for your title and closing services. Title Insurance is historically a paper intensive business. The average transaction can use 1/2 a ream of paper or more. In 2005, we converted our title processing to 100% digital files. This conversion reduced our in office paper usage to almost 0 and reduced courier and postal usage too. We can and generally do process a transaction without consuming a single piece of paper until closing. In 2006, I made extensive use of GoToMyPC to work from home and reduce my car emissions while the office was daily staffed by an employee who lived much closer. In 2007, I moved the company into my home and replaced commuting employees with telecommuting and independent contractors who also work from home offices. CLT’s green initiatives, to date, have not only helped the environment, but have also greatly improved our customer service, processing time and efficiency. In 2008, my goal is to adopt eRecording in the Counties where it is offered and conduct paperless closings. These goals should also have beneficial effects on our client services and the environment.
